Volunteer Information

Student protection and wellbeing are paramount in Catholic Schools. Our commitment to the protection of students is based in our belief that each person is made in the image of God, and our ethos is to provide a safe and supportive environment for all. All students have the right to expect that the school will always act to protect them from any kind of harm.

Brisbane Catholic Education makes every effort to ensure that all Student Protection legislative requirements are adhered to. This includes meeting the accreditation requirements of the Non-State School Accreditation Board, which has approved the Student Protection processes to be used in schools.

Volunteering within the school is an incredibly rewarding experience for families, students and teachers. We like to encourage family involvement at St Ollie's, as much as families are able to do so. A volunteer within a school could partake in the following activities:

·       Classroom Literacy Block helper

·       Excursion support

·       Art and craft support

·       Mother's Day and Father's Day stall workers

·       Tuckshop helpers

·       Sports Day and Swimming Carnival Helpers

·       And any other activity that would involve contact with students

Before commencing a role as a volunteer, or any other personnel within the school, all adults are required to:

1.    Download and read the Code of Conduct for Volunteers and Other Personnel.

2.    Complete the Volunteer and Other Personnel Registration Form

once you have completed the training.

Please access the Code of Conduct for Volunteers and Other Personnel and the Registration and Training through the link below.

Volunteer Student Protection Training

Once the training has been completed, you will need to download and complete the Registration Form, and bring this into school. After this is completed, and the school has record of registration, you will be able to work as a volunteer within any capacity within the school for 12months.

Unfortunately, until this training is complete and the school has sighted your completion certificate, families are unable to contribute in a volunteer capacity.
